New Year's 2017

I remember a time when New Year's Eve was such a big deal... We would plan for months in advance where to go, what to do, what to wear... Now it only makes me smile... As much as I love any reason to celebrate and show your gratefulness, it seems like such a small moment now... Crossing from one calendar year to the next... This may have something to do with the fact that time seems to be having a completely different relevance and sense of measure since I have become a mother.

This year, the grand celebration caught us home, in Arad. We were happy that my mother in law was there with us. So we had a nice and cosy dinner, cheered with our little one, shared a few smiles and then when the time came, we headed out in front of the city hall, where a huge number of people gathered together a minute or two before the countdown began and the coolest fireworks I've seen (in this city) lit up the sky... It was soooo incredibly cold... After 20 minutes we were completely frozen. We said our New Year's wishes, kissed, hugged and rushed back home before we experienced frostbites...
